Sustainability Management Framework (SMF)

Sustainability Management Framework

Triton’s Sustainability Management Framework (SMF) dashboard service application allows users to monitor carbon emissions, fuel consumption, gas and air usage, and other measurable facility data collected from various on-site electronic meters. The data is gathered electronically and stored in a custom data warehouse environment. The dashboard’s purpose is to present this data in a clear and easy-to-digest web interface that allows users to drill down into multiple levels of detail. SMF simplifies complex energy usage information, providing managers the ability to compare it for the purpose of business decisions such as:

• Energy usage and cost by building and employee
• Issue tracking
• Facility location data (integrated with Google Maps)
• Transportation emissions and costs and comparison to hybrid vehicles
• Document storage
• Cross sector program management

Triton analysts worked directly with leading energy efficiency and climate change experts to properly configure SMF to display only relevant information using meaningful metrics in a clean and intuitive user interface. The prototype application was built within one month. The SMF solution is extremely customizable and allows for the rapid addition of different services, charts, graphs, and other data elements. Displaying this type of detailed data in an easyto-understand interface gives users the following benefits:

• Fluid screen transitions
• Quick and easy access to detailed metrics
• Ability to switch between chart and tabular data formats
• Data export to Excel for further analysis
• Intuitive controls to toggle between different panels and screens of data without the need for a page refresh

Agencies need expert advice and support services to help them navigate an IT landscape in which computing capacity is sourced from the cloud.
