Department of Energy (DOE) Executive Dashboard

Department of Energy (DOE) - Executive Dashboard

The Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management (EM) is responsible for the safe cleanup of the environmental legacy brought about from five decades of nuclear weapons development and nuclear energy research. EM cleanup work is conducted across the continental U.S., with the Washington, D.C. Headquarters (HQ) providing oversight and guidance to all field sites.

Triton analysts worked with EM to identify their most useful data and the systems from which it could be pulled for presentation on their corporate
intranet. This data ranges from project cost and schedule, to strategic goals, to corporate services. The initial Dashboard was developed and deployed in less than three months. The minimal investment made to link and visualize this data is providing numerous benefits to the organization:

• Elimination of staff time previously spent manually producing reports
• Automation of project reviews
• Access to real-time data

The EM Dashboard contains information on the following subjects:
• Strategic goals
• Performance measures against plans
• Financials - Obligations and cost against plans
• Project Data - Cost and schedule (Earned Value)
• General Information
• Corporate Services - Help desk usage and statistics
• Contracts

Agencies need expert advice and support services to help them navigate an IT landscape in which computing capacity is sourced from the cloud.
