Triton Team Members Volunteer at USO Gaming Day

On June 11, 2011, Triton team members were part of the volunteer team that staffed and judged the USO’s first annual Gaming Day at Fort Myer in Arlington, VA. The Call of Duty: Black Ops tournament was co-hosted by ACT-IAC’s Volunteer Corps. The successful event involved 8 four-player teams of active-duty military from around the Metropolitan region.

Triton team members served as judges and extra hands during and after the event.   HP donated televisions for use during the tournament. The Ft. Belvoir GameStop donated Xbox consoles and Call of Duty games for use in the tournament.

“The USO put together a great event,” said Karen Jones-Andrade, Triton team member and veteran, “my experience in the military has given me great respect and enthusiasm for supporting our troops.”
