FTMS Helps with DOE Customer Safety in Time of Crisis

When Triton’s client, Julie Squires, heard about the earthquake in Chile, she logged in to FTMS right away to see which DOE employees and contractors were either in, or shortly on their way to, Chile. With just the click of a couple buttons, Julie was able to obtain a list of all these travelers along with their emergency contact information. Thankfully, all of those currently in country were able to be contacted, were safe and accounted for. A couple of them were able to leave the country almost immediately, but most stayed put in Chile for at least a week until the airports regained some semblance of normalcy. As for the travelers who had yet to leave for Chile, they were able to reschedule their travel. Julie couldn’t have been more pleased with how easy it was for her to be able to check on all of the travelers’ safety.

This goes to show that FTMS is not only helping DOE achieve its mission, but also providing the ability to locate all DOE travelers in the case of emergencies such as natural disasters.
